So, I was scrolling through the interwebs the other day, minding my own business, when I stumbled upon some interesting images. You know the ones, those things that make you do a double take and ask yourself, "What in the world is going on here?" Well, here are a couple of those images that caught my attention:
Carpet Extractor or Carpet Cleaner - Which is Better?
Okay, so let's talk about carpet cleaners. First off, let me just say that I hate cleaning carpets. I mean, I hate it with a passion. There's just something about getting down on my hands and knees and scrubbing away at those dirt stains that just makes me want to scream.
But, since I'm an adult and all, I have to do it. So, when I saw this image of a carpet extractor and a carpet cleaner, I thought to myself, "Maybe this will make my life easier."
According to the article that accompanied the image, a carpet extractor is basically a powerful vacuum that uses hot water and cleaning solution to deep clean carpets. Sounds pretty fancy, right?
But, then I read that a carpet cleaner is basically just a steam cleaner that uses hot water and cleaning solution to clean carpets. Hmm, so which is better?
Well, after doing some research (aka Googling), I discovered that the main difference between a carpet extractor and a carpet cleaner is that a carpet extractor uses suction to remove more dirt and water from the carpet, resulting in a quicker drying time. So, I guess that means a carpet extractor is better?
But, then again, a carpet extractor is typically more expensive and bulkier than a carpet cleaner. So, I guess it all depends on your budget and storage space.
But, let's be real, no matter which one you choose, you're still going to hate cleaning carpets. So, just suck it up (pun intended) and get to scrubbing.
When Rentals and Sales Collide
I don't know about you guys, but when I see the words "rentals" and "sales" in the same sentence, my brain starts to hurt. I mean, what does that even mean? Are they renting things that they're also trying to sell? Are they trying to sell things that they don't actually own? My mind is officially blown.
This particular image is advertising a business in Elmira, Ontario called "Search Rentals Woolwich Rentals & Sales". Yes, you read that correctly, "rentals" is in there twice. I'm not exactly sure why they felt the need to repeat themselves, but okay.
So, I did some digging (aka clicked on their website), and it turns out that they do, in fact, rent out various types of equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, and even excavators. But, they also sell new and used equipment as well.
Now, call me crazy, but I feel like this is a bit confusing. I mean, if I was looking to rent a lawn mower, I'd probably just search for a rental company. And, if I was looking to buy a new lawn mower, I'd probably search for a company that sells lawn mowers. But, that's just me.
But, hey, maybe I'm just not the target audience for this business. Maybe there are people out there who love the idea of renting and buying equipment from the same place. Who knows?
